With the existence of social networking on the internet particularly the Facebook, and the easy means of telecommunication nowadays, organizing the Homecoming event was made possible and very accessible to any Alumni of NES including those who are now residing in different parts of the country and even abroad. That made them very much updated and participative while planning the activities prior to the date of the said event. After the success of the big event, the people hope to have its second homecoming in the next couple of years.

ReplyDeleteGreetings from the other side of the world, NYC, USA. Nonoc was a great place to live in. Is it safe to visit Nonoc? Do I need any special permits to visit? Left Nonoc over 37 years ago, I was there when JCCS opened, attended 2nd & 3rd also started my 4th grade there, it wasn't called JCCS at the time. My father was one of the engineers who headed the installation of the powerplant.

Hi!
ReplyDeleteYes it is very much safe to stay in Nonoc. I don't think you need a permit to visit that place but if you must stay for a night or so you have to ask someone from there so you can have a place to stay in. I hope you know somebody from that island. If you are really interested I can ask somebody from there who may be able to assist you.
