Nonoc Elementary School 1st Grand Alumni Homecoming

January 16, 2011 - Nonoc Elementary School (NES), Barangay Nonoc, Surigao del Norte, celebrated its first Grand Alumni Homecoming successfully. The said event was presided by one of the alumni from the said school who is now a great mentor and a great composer as well, Mr. Ricky Pedralba. He is currently the Education Program Supervisor of the Department of Education of Surigao City.

With the existence of social networking on the internet particularly the Facebook, and the easy means of telecommunication nowadays, organizing the Homecoming event was made possible and very accessible to any Alumni of NES including those who are now residing in different parts of the country and even abroad. That made them very much updated and participative while planning the activities prior to the date of the said event. After the success of the big event, the people hope to have its second homecoming in the next couple of years.

Barangay Nonoc is located at Nonoc Island across Surigao City. It is an independent barangay with warm people and a place that is abundant in nature. A small paradise with its pristine white beaches, perfect for families' weekend get-away, and for some special occasions such as birthdays, christening, or weddings.
